About
A secret collective of Noble and Lesser houses communicated with Dietrich Westmerk in their resentment, pleading with him to take up arms against the new cabal that now ruled their land. The origins of this plot were later found, which has been known to history as The Red Letter, written by Gruffydd Edewyn to Dietrich Westmerk in 445 AUE.
Dietrich was the half-brother of Gustav II, who after a brotherly fued over marriage, migrated to Thêsos with his new wife, assured by Gustav that Dietrich nor his children would ever rule.
Now 51 years of age and hidden from public view for more than 30 years, Dietrich knew that even if he could muster the troops to mount a successful coup, he would not win the hearts of the people. He instead planned to raise his new son, Arminius, as the perfect king.
Handsome, strong, wise and kind, Arminius would ve everything that Dietrich never was, and after the seeds of discontent that his allies in the courts had sprouted, Arminius would arrive heralded as a saviour and hero by the people of Lythran.
