Ichor is an arcane semi-organic metamaterial present within the cells of all living creatures, within itself containing the very essence of animation and consciousness. Any matter infused with enough Ichor gains some level of sentience - most commonly, stray molecules of air and dust (Spirits).

Ichor "respirates" in a sense - taking in stray Ether and imprinting a measure of will onto it (a process which produces Mana over time, up until the limit of what their Ichor can hold). If a given being's Ichor concentration is high enough, they will oftentimes seem lucky to the point of incredulity - events bending themselves to favorable outcomes and plans coming to fruition more often than likely (to a certain limit, of course - one dictated by the quantity of Mana they can store and produce). If one's Ichor concentration is extremely high, and the individual is well practiced, they may be able to expend Mana to directly manipulate the world around them.
