Aelhir; Mornecaun (Mohr-nah-kah-oon) "darkest lord"

When translated to other tongues, Aelhir Mornecaun loses the nuance it carries to elven ears. Morne describes a colour deeper than black and is reserved for those Dreadlords and lords of Drâihari that surpass even their imposing kin in ferocity, ambition and cruelty.

The Black Princes, for which 'prince' is here meant as gender-neutral, have no unified purpose and indeed each can be quite different from their neighbor.

Black Princes usually serve as officers for a Divine, with a much greater degree of autonomy. They're afforded enough freedom to serve their own ends as long as they afford their Divine the proper abeyance when necessary.
