+2 Intelligence: Your people are an amalgam of transformed sailors from many origins. Sharing knowledge on how best to dominate the surface-dwellers has been the norm since you awoke.
+1 Constitution: You are a creature of the deep sea, resilient to the harsh pressures and cold temperatures of your aquatic environment.

U'lythia are not born in the traditional sense, but rather "created" from the bodies of the drowned. They awaken around the same age they were upon death but with the breath of the Elder Fathom to prolong their life and can potentially live for centuries, haunted by echoes of their drowned past.

Size. U'lythia vary between 6-7 feet. Your size is Medium.

Speed. Your base walking speed is 30 feet, and you have a swimming speed of 40 feet.

Deep Dweller. You can breathe underwater and have resistance to cold damage.
Echoes of the Drowned. You have proficiency in the Intimidation skill and advantage on Wisdom (Survival) checks when underwater.
Psychic Bond. You have telepathic communication with all other U'lythia within 60 feet of you. You can also sense the emotions of any creature within 10 feet of you. This communication can extend to other creatures with whom you have a close bond, but can only be used once per long rest with non-U'lythia. Your connection to the Elder Fathom manifests as a constant, symphonic hum in your mind.
Horrific Visage. You have tentacles which are natural weapons, each dealing 1d4 blunt damage. These tentacles can be used to make unarmed strikes. In addition, you can grapple a creature medium or smaller as a bonus action provided you are within 5 feet of it. These attacks are made with your Dexterity modifier.
Naming Conventions. U'lythian names sound very unusual to other peoples. Usually with many syllables and vowels. Amidst the cacophony of their minds, their names must be distinct and recognizable to them. U'lythian names are unisex.
