Profile
Many equate Ember with The Blue Sun, but this is an oversimplification. Ember did not create the sun, he does not have complete control over it, and he certainly is not it. However, he inhabits the sun as his throne, and through his forces on the star has great power over it.
Ember has long been a constant of En, his constant, steady presence since near the beginning of humanoid life meaning that many across the world have come to worship him (though the Underdark races tend to universally despise him).
Ember has proven to be a reliable and fair god, mediating between extraplanar beings, gaining respect far outstripping his direct power, and always advocating for the protection of En.

Appearance
Ember is almost always depicted glowing blue, or with cracks in his skin seeping blue light. He is often depicted as male, which he seems to prefer, but has been reported to occasionally present as female.

Many followers of Ember dress in blue and bear the symbol of the radiant sun.

Goals
Ember seeks to protect The Material Plane from extraplanar threats. As the plane created no deities of its own to support it, he stepped in to advocate for its protection and preservation.
Divine Relationships
Ember is technically a demigod of Brand, the elemental god of fire and total ruler of The Elemental Plane of Fire. However, between his allies and his seat in The Material Plane, Ember may actually be stronger than The Fire God. The two are rumored to despise one another, but nothing seems to have ever come of this.
Ember's strategic choice to establish The Material Plane as a sanctuary of mediation and neutral ground has earned him many allies throughout the planes.
