Overview
Profile
While Dracar laid down the rules of death and change, it is Reaper who is tasked with overseeing the realm of Death itself.
The difference between death and change is difficult to parse for many divinities, as to them there is no difference. Death at its most fundamental is nothing more than a process of dramatic change given order through rules and constraints. To a deity, to die is merely to change forms, as within The Outer Planes, the link between death and birth is clearly evident. When a divinity dies, the energies which made it up simply reform, altered but recognizable.
But Reaper understands the mortal conception of death well. A loyal demigod of order, she upholds the tenets of death- that all mortal things must someday die and change. But there is indiscriminate compassion and care in his work, valuing the loss of everything which dies, all that is lost as something becomes new.
Depictions
Appearance
Reaper is depicted cloaked in black robes, wielding a scythe which snips the connection between body and soul.
Holy Symbol
Those who worship Reaper bear the symbol of the Scythe and dress in black.
No'vel and Reaper are often worshipped in tandem, and coins which depict their symbols on each side are common.
Influences
Goals
Reaper upholds the order of death, managing the passing on of souls. He ensures that every life lost on En remains in Her powers, nurturing her soils.
Divine Relationships
For some bloody reason, Reaper is reportedly fond of Dracar.
They and No'vel are often depicted as twins, which neither seems to mind. Like No'vel, they are one of the most social gods of the Outer Planes, having friendships well beyond their pantheon and even so far as The Inner Planes.
Reaper is in constant conflict with Pluto, The Undead King, and with the soul taking Demons and Devils.
