Like Dragons, Giants originated in The Astral Plane, although their talents lie in runework and crafting magic items more so than casting spells. They are children of Giganta, the Giant Goddess and The Rune Carver. They are large and typically humanoid in shape. Outside of The Astral Plane, they have mostly spread to The Material Plane, although a few dwell in The Feywild or Shadowfell, evolving into various species, such as Cloud and Hill, which suit their environs.

Giants are fabled crafters of magic items, their skills and services sought out by gods and mortals alike. It is said that the giants were the first to master the rune systems created by Dovu and Aracne, learning to create the first magic items and surpassing the expectations of even the gods best skilled at magic.
