Wood elves dwell in forests, often forming isolationist communities in deep, ancient woods. They tend to be distrusting of outsiders and the risk they bring to their fragile forests.

Physical Appearance
Wood elves and known and named for their tree-like appearances. It only takes a generation or two of dwelling within a forest for children to be born with skin and hair that near perfectly camouflages into the flora of their environment. Bark-like skin and hair the color of leaves is commonplace among these individuals.

Wood elf lineages who do not dwell within forests quickly lose the finer details of these features in subsequent generations, although their appearance remains distinctive. Their skin tends to be copperish in hue, sometimes with traces of green. Their hair tends toward browns and blacks, but it is occasionally blond or copper-colored. Their eyes are green, brown, or hazel.
