Tiefling

Basic Information

Tieflings are humanoids who have been touched by the nature of Soular, the Plane of the Self. They are a lineage, having their own unique racial traits but maintaining traces of their other ancestry in appearance. Some Tieflings are born of Tiefling parents, others carry the mark of a parent's dark dealings, and others only become Tieflings later in life, when a pact or accident infuses their nature with the energy of Soular. The last, however, is rare.

Relations of other Races
Like all humanoids, the nature of a Tiefling is not predetermined, but many are greeted with suspicion or fear, treated as outcasts for the marks of fiendish heritage they bear. They are stereotyped as selfish, scheming, and violent.

Physical Appearance
While tieflings inherit most of their physical characteristics from their base race, they bear the marks of their fiendish heritage. Brightly colored skin, long curling horns, fingertips that end in claws, or spiked tails are only a handful of physical traits a tiefling may have.
