False Undead are creatures who were never alive to begin with. They technically existed before undead and should not be a subcategory of them, but they behave the same as Undead mechanically and most people mistake them for undead so they were categorized as such. Most False Undead are Ethereal Plane natives, including Rithon and their Soul Guard who were born from the plane itself as native ghostly inhabitants.
