The encampment in Scalemire Fen is a newly cleared area amidst the dense, twisted trees and murky waters. Simple, sturdy huts made of wood and large leaves are scattered around, with pathways laid out using wooden planks to keep feet dry. Campfires burn, their light flickering against the dark backdrop of the swamp. Tortles move slowly and purposefully, while the Mist Watch scouts are always alert, their keen eyes scanning the surroundings.

• The kobold tax collectors driven off the local Tortles. The Tortles agree to help set up an encampment, but they need stone to complete it.

• The Mist Watch Scouts the Mirestone Mines for stone, which were run by kobolds.

• Another Mist Watch group makes a deal with the Kobolds of the Mirestone Mines, who now supply stone to the encampment in exchange for taxing the locals.

• Small tight knit town where nothing can be kept secret. Barry the Barkeep's wife is cheating on him with Derrick one of the guards deployed from Mistwood Lake

• It is believed a group of mercenaries came into town investigating the bandits stealing supplies since neither the Mist Watch nor the Silver Shields would handle it

• Derrick is now missing. His partner on guard duty, Jonathan, says he "got carried away in his investigation"
