The Watcher Wall

What is the Watcher Wall?

The watcher wall is a physical wall within The Shrub and Grub, where members of the Mist Watch tend to spend their off-hours.

The wall is covered in pieces of parchment with quests for members of the Mist Watch. Each quest either directly works to push back the miasma or supports the overall mission of the Mist Watch in other ways, and each has guildmaster Juniper Sapsong's seal of approval.

Members of the Mist Watch in search of a direction for exploration often start here, gathering around the wall and forming parties of shared interest for adventure.

Hunt the Roc in the Narrows

500 gp per adventurer, the Massagatae are no longer a threat, the Roc being gone means travel along the top of the Narrows is possible.

After striking against a Massagetae hunting party, the Mist Watch has struck a deal with a centaur warden named Soraya. She has agreed to form a non-aggression pact with the Mist Watch and the minotaur tribe of Oxus - but that requires her coming into power. She'll have that power if she brings the head of the roc to her people.

In order for this quest to be successful, Soraya must join in the hunt for the Roc and survive.

A note from Gov', written along the side of the notice: "I got a bad feeling about this one, mates. Take great care, I trust that Centaur woman about as far as I can throw her."

Tell you what, mates, we need to set our sights broader. We're getting too bogged down here, there's still a world of possibilities out there. I've heard of an area beyond The Bite where great canyons stretch across the land where massive birds and great lizardlike beasts can be found.

We need our best survivalists to journey to The Narrows and let us know what kind of situation awaits us there. Any leads on putting up a safe haven there would be neat as well. I've got a bit of a budget for this job, but I need to make it stretch. Do right by me, and I'll give you the whole purse.
