What does Base Cost Mean?
Some items have an additional cost on top of their Player's Handbook (PHB) cost. For armor or weapons, we require players to specify what kind of weapon or what kind of armor they want. Chain mail has a different cost in the PHB than plate armor, which would affect the base cost.
For example, you wish to purchase Adamantine Plate Armor. According to our price listing, that would cost 400 GP + Base Cost (1500 GP) for a total of 1900 GP.
