The Mist Watch stands as a beacon against the encroaching darkness of the Miasma. Our sacred duty is to safeguard the realm of Mistwood Lake by securing the Wilds and gathering vital resources. We strive to push back the Miasma, ensuring a haven for all who dwell in our lands.

Oath of the Watchers

Core Tenets

1. Kinship

  • The Mist Watch is your chosen family. Treat each other with kindness and support, for we are stronger together.

  • Protect one another for we are each other’s shields in the face of the unknown.

  • Celebrate the successes and learn from the failures as one united body, never forgetting the bonds that tie us.

2. Respect

  • Respect yourself, your duties, your party, and the world around you.

  • Recognize the value of every member, their contributions, and the diversity of skills they bring.

  • Respect and honor the property of your fellow Watchers, countrymen, and allies.

3. Courage

  • Doing what is right is often challenging. Stand firm in your convictions and act with bravery.

  • Face danger and adversity with unwavering resolve, for only through courage can we hope to achieve our mission.

  • Lead by example, inspiring others to act with valor and integrity.

Code of Conduct

1. Duty to the Watch

  • Every Watcher is expected to fulfill their assigned roles and responsibilities with diligence and dedication.

  • Uphold the mission of the Mist Watch in all actions, ensuring the safety and well-being of Mistwood Lake and its citizens.

  • Prioritize the needs of the community, balancing individual needs with the greater good.

2. Communication Protocol

  • Maintain open lines of communication, ensuring all party members are aware of strategies and movements. Do not leave the expedition without first communicating the plan of action to the party. (Extenuating circumstances may occur where this is not possible)

  • Encourage a culture of learning and adaptation, ready to face new challenges with innovative solutions.

  • Report findings and share treasures equitably, which is necessary for the survival and success of the Watch.

3. Conduct in the Field

  • Act with honor and integrity, representing the Mist Watch and Mistwood Lake with pride.

  • Avoid unnecessary conflicts with the denizens of the Wilds, but stand ready to defend against threats with decisive action.

  • In emergencies, prioritize the safety of Watchers, Mistwood Lake citizens, and Mist Watch allies over the success of the mission.

4. Accountability

  • If a Watcher sees another acting against the code, they should address the issue with the offending Watcher with respect.

  • Discuss behavior and its impact on the guild rather than personal criticisms.

  • If the Watcher is unwilling to change, escalate the matter to the Guildmaster for resolution.
