The Thorned Hawk
Job from Talon - Chief Falconer, in an effort to own the name the people call him he assigned him to help with the training and managing of royal messenger birds or hunting falcons, ensuring swift and secure communication.
Description - Highborn 2nd youngest
A 6'0 half orc, long black hair and dark grey skin. Wears very organic colors to blend in with nature when out on a hunt, wears royal colors when participating in any tournaments. Light armor, armed with an Arkan rifle with a blade at the end.

Traits and Motivations -
A perfectionist. Marik was trained to be good at fighting, and he makes sure that everyone else knows it. By constantly putting himself through various tournaments, he longs for the admiration of the crowd, looking truly happy when they chant his name. Despite his skill, he is the first to belittle his own talents and point out any flaws or mistakes he made, especially when he wins. Marik never seems satisfied with the glory that he has claimed for himself.
Routine
Marik wakes up each morning before the sun rises. Before leaving his room, he studies the Ranger Codex that was gifted to him by his former mentor, Elim.
Marik rarely joins his family for breakfast, as his training regime has already started by that point, though he does make the occasional appearance.
Marik begins his training by meeting with one of the many trainers that his mother hired to oversee him. Marik focuses on a mixture of bladework, ranged combat, and horse riding. Marik will often be required to complete every drill flawlessly before he's allowed to stop.
On days when Marik is able to rest and have free time, he will often head to the local woods with his guards and enjoy some time fishing, appreciating the quiet aspects of nature. On weekends, Marik will try to visit Mia when the time allows.
In the evenings, Marik tries to spend several hours with Selara, working to strengthen their relationship and uphold the bond between them.
Marik takes his responsibility as The Chief Falconer seriously, frequently spending time with the various birds under his care and training them to hunt and deliver messages as effectively as possible. With assistance, Marik has trained several to respond to his commands.

He and his opponent were tied going into the final shot when his opponent's bow broke, meaning he couldn't take his last shot. Despite only needing one point to win, Marik decided to not take the shot, wanting to win fair rather than by a technicality. | Marik once fought against an opponent in single combat during one of his tournaments. The opponent had the upper hand and only stopped attacking Marik once the prince was on the ground and badly beaten. Cailynn felt extremely upset about this, but Marik never blamed her and would always come to her defense. | A young knight from a vassal house wanted to bolster their status at the tournaments and in turn would give House Falkrest a number of goods/services. Cailynn brokered a deal with this knight under the guise that Marik would be training a young up and coming knight. Marik had no knowledge that this knight was actually an accomplished swordsmen and was just looking for a rub of popularity.
