Description

The Crownclaw Knights are an elite order of wyvern riders dedicated to defending the king, Crown's Rest (the capital city), and Dragon's End (the royal keep). These knights are renowned for their martial prowess and unwavering loyalty, serving as the first line of defense against any threats to the kingdom. Their main activities include patrolling the skies, training rigorously with their wyverns, and ensuring the safety of the royal family and the realm.

History

The origins of the Crownclaw Knights date back 800 years, to the time when the Chromatic Triplets terrorized the lands. House Drakemoor, in a desperate bid to overthrow the dragons, forged a pact with the wyverns. They promised to feed and care for the wyverns in exchange for their aid in the rebellion. This alliance led to the successful defeat of the dragons and the establishment of the Crownclaw Knights. The oath made with the wyverns remains fulfilled to this day, with House Drakemoor continuing to uphold their end of the bargain.

Structure

The Crownclaw Knights consist of 20 knights and one Knight-Commander (Knight-Commander Nadja Eldran) who oversees all members. These knights take solemn vows in the name of all 21 gods of the realm, swearing off any claims of land, lineage, or love. Breaking these oaths is considered a grave betrayal, resulting in a bounty being placed on the offender and the other Crownclaw Knights hunting them down. There are only three ways to be released from duty: being relinquished by the king or queen, having no heirs in one's house (necessitating taking control), or dying in service.
