Old Drydale is the name given to the region that was once the Kingdom of Drydale, now the northernmost frontier of the Empire. Drydale is harsh and unforgiving, with a strong culture of horseriding and militarism.

The people of Drydale is fiercely patriotic, but usually this patriotism is turned against the wildlings, who frequently invade the region. Despite of their constant troubles, the people of Drydale are also known as egalitarian and warm.
