Campaign Synopsis
It is the year 10 Anno Anomalorum (2048 AD)—10 years after the discovery of the world's first Anomaly of evolution, an event that has been scrutinized and harnessed by governments all over the world. Thanks to the multi-national, legal document known as "The Apex Anomalies Accord", these 'Anomalies' now have a definitive piece of legislature that has total jurisdiction, that protects and defines their existence. The United States has—along with several transnational conglomerates and governments—pooled vast amounts of resources into the funding and construction of The Anvil, a massive, multi-level structure set atop four near-indestructible metal alloy support beams embedded five hundred feet into the ocean floor. Located upon the Atlantic ocean ~301.23 nautical miles Southeast of New York City, it is a heavily fortified, state-of-the-art "Containment Facility" (officially) for the most dangerous Anomalies in the world. Unofficially, however, it acts as a home base for the deployment of "CRUs" (Containment & Response Units)—highly-trained squadrons of Anomalies sent into areas of conflict and strife around the world to help broker peace by any means necessary.
Though the world is aware of Anomalies and the threat they pose to humanity's existence, crime rates continue to rise. Blood continues to spill. Crisis after crisis unfolds...
