"Through darkness thick, we take our stand - to guard Faelorian, hand-in-hand. With our swords and shields, sharp and true, we defend the innocent...until our debt comes due." - Dark Oath Mantra

As the last bastion of defense against the undead onslaught in Faelorian, the Dark Oath are sworn into the lifelong defense of the living, often at a great personal cost. Forever forsaking their past and future, those who commit themselves to the Oath give up much, including their own lives if their duties demand it. Once considered to be the primal combative force against the undead, their roster has greatly reduced in numbers over the past century, as death has claimed many. Only a few small cells of the Oath remain, scattered throughout Faelorian in the places that need them most.
