Fire genasi often possess fiery eyes and hair that flickers like embers or trails smoke, giving them an otherworldly presence that sets them apart from their mortal kin. They inherit an innate resilience to fire, a gift from their elemental ancestry, and wield the flame with ease, instinctively conjuring firelight or unleashing bursts of burning power. Though their elemental parentage often leaves them disconnected from their genie progenitors, fire genasi thrive in their dual heritage, embracing their natural affinity for heat and light while forging their own path in the mortal realm. These individuals are as unpredictable as the element they embody, driven by passion, ambition, and the eternal dance of fire within their veins.

Fire Genasi Traits

Speed. Your base walking speed is 35 feet.

Fire Resistance. You have resistance to fire damage.

Natural Illumination. You naturally emit dim light with a radius of 10 feet centered on yourself. As an action you can increase the intensity to bright light with a radius of 20 feet. Alternatively, you can use an action to extinguish the light, or decrease its intensity from bright light to dim light.

Reach to the Blaze. You know the produce flame cantrip. Starting at 3rd level, you can cast the burning hands spell with this trait. Starting at 5th level, you can also cast the flame blade spell with this trait, without a material component. Once you cast burning hands or flame blade with this trait, you can't cast that spell with it again until you finish a long rest. You can also cast either of those spells using any spell slots you have of the appropriate level.
