High atop the rugged peaks, where the air is thin and the winds bite with icy cold, live the goliaths—a nomadic people as enduring as the mountains they call home. Towering and strong, their bodies are sculpted by the elements, with skin marked by dark patterns like the stones and cliffs they climb with ease. Goliaths are descendants of giants, having long ago diverged from their hulking ancestors, but retaining much of their strength and endurance.
Goliaths live by a code that demands strength, self-reliance, and the relentless pursuit of proving oneself. The mountain is both a teacher and a trial to them, its lessons shaping them into something greater. They respect those who rise above challenges, valuing deeds and resilience over words. Yet, despite their focus on personal achievement, goliaths hold a fierce loyalty to their tribe, always striving to uplift the community while never losing sight of individual ambition. Their honor is as steadfast as the peaks they call home, reflecting their desire to rise, conquer, and endure.
Goliaths have ventured to the edges of their lands, mingling with other races and learning the value of alliances. These trailblazers see the potential for change and growth, believing that opening their tribe to outsiders can bring new strength. They seek to show their people that change is not a threat, but an opportunity to adapt and thrive in a world that is ever-shifting like the mountains they cherish.
Though strength reigns supreme in their society, goliaths hold a deep reverence for those with magic bloodlines, recognizing the power that lies beyond physical might. Those with such gifts are treated as shamans, spirit-guides, and in some cases, tribe leaders. In the goliath city of Hound’s Gate, Moz the Mighty rules with a strength and will, having been blessed with mystical blood.
