Dwarves are a people shaped by stone and steel, their lives deeply intertwined with the mountains they call home. Stocky and stout, with muscles hardened from centuries of labor in the deep forges, they are known for their strength and resilience. Their beards, long and well-kept, are symbols of their pride, each braid a mark of honor or achievement. Dwarves build vast cities beneath the earth, their halls carved into the heart of the mountains, lit by the glow of molten metal and gemstone lanterns. Their craftsmanship is legendary, with every hammer strike and chisel mark infused with generations of knowledge and care.
But more than their skill in forging, dwarves are known for their unwavering loyalty. Bonds of kinship and clan run deep, and a dwarf will stand firm beside their allies through the darkest of times. They are slow to trust, but once a bond is formed, it is as enduring as the mountains themselves. Dwarves value tradition and honor above all, carrying the weight of their ancestors' legacy with every decision they make. Though they may appear gruff and reserved, beneath the surface lies a warmth and fierce dedication that makes them some of the most steadfast and reliable allies in all the realms.
Long ago, the dwarves were forced to flee the Mother Mountain, their ancestral home across the Great Vorothian Ocean, driven out by the savage onslaught of orcs and goblins. This bitter exile has left a lasting grudge in their hearts, with many dwarves still yearning for justice and a reckoning with the enemies that cast them from their homeland. For these dwarves, the memory of their great journey across the sea remains vivid, a symbol of their people's endurance and the wrongs that must be righted.
