🌻 Explorers are charting the unknown abyss as we speak! The path to the bottom is still being mapped out.
...AKA this is very very far from being finished, but welcome anyway!

Overview
Sunhallow is a massive, mysterious chasm that plunges deep into the earth from the center of the Northern Ocean—a place where light falters and the rules of the world seem to bend. This gaping abyss—teeming with alien creatures, lost technology, and secrets buried for ages—has become an ever-present lure to adventurers, scholars, and anyone seeking fortune.
The dungeon serves as the focal point of the setting of Secrets of the Sunhallow.
The City of Fortune's Rest

Built along the ring of the dungeon is the lawless city of Fortune's Rest, a melting pot of all races and walks of life. It sprawls along the jagged edges of the chasm, bustling with activity and ambition.
Here, the artifact trade flourishes, driven by the "divers" who plunge into Sunhallow’s depths to scavenge for relics of the lost kingdom. It is a city where law holds no sway—where a single dive into the abyss can lead to untold riches or cost you everything.
The Layers of Sunhallow
Floor 1 - The Edge
The Edge marks the entrance to Sunhallow, where two perilous routes lead into the depths.
The outer face of the mountain is a sheer, barren cliff, a daunting route attempted only by the most daring divers. Pockets of anti-magic disrupt spells, swarms of hostile flying creatures patrol the skies, and the unstable rock offers little safety for climbers. Few return from this descent unscathed, and even fewer dare to try.
Most divers instead descend via subterranean tunnels carved into the mountain. These jagged, twisting passages are dimly lit by glowing moss and fungi; air thick with an eerie silence broken only by the occasional skitter of unseen creatures. Natural traps and sudden falls await the unprepared, while the oppressive darkness wears on even seasoned divers.
Though the safest part of Sunhallow, even the threats here—be it a lurking predator or a poorly placed step—has the potential to decimate unprepared diving parties. The Edge quickly strips divers of any illusions of safety, reminding all who enter that the Sunhallow does not forgive the unready.

Floor 2 - The Deepwood
The Deepwood is the second layer of Sunhallow, a sprawling, shadowed expanse of dense subterranean forests and tangled roots. Towering fungal trees stretch toward unseen ceilings, their glowing caps casting dim, shifting light across the cavern floor.
Predators of the Deepwood are stealthy and cunning, striking from above or emerging from the shadows to ambush unsuspecting divers. Small, skittering scavengers hunt in packs, while larger beasts blend seamlessly into the fungal canopy, waiting for the unwary to draw too close.
While the creatures of the Deepwood are the most obvious danger—silent predators stalking from above or emerging from shadows to ambush their prey—the true threat lies in the flora. Many plants are as vicious as the animals; but even the seemingly harmless vegetation can doom a party; an ill-fated touch or a poorly chosen meal can end in paralysis, madness, or slow, agonizing death.
Thick undergrowth and tangling vines slow progress, sporeclouds choke unfiltered lungs, and sharp thorns tear through armor and flesh alike. This layer has crushed the dreams of more than one group of unprepared divers, leaving them scrambling to abandon notions of glory and catch the first boat back to the mainland.
Floor 3 - The Oubliette
The Oubliette is the third layer of the Sunhallow Dungeon, where the ruins of a forgotten kingdom emerge from the shadows, half-buried and submerged. Crumbling towers and fractured walls emerge from the gloom, their stonework swallowed by sprawling roots and the stagnant waters that fill much of this level.
Exploration here is a labyrinthine trial. The ruins themselves seem alive, rearranging their passages as if to confuse and entrap those who enter. Pools of murky water flood entire sections, obscuring jagged debris, hidden creatures, and treacherous currents. Even the most seasoned divers find their wits tested here, as ancient traps and crumbling structures wait to punish the unprepared.
It is in the Oubliette that the Void’s true presence begins to take shape. Smarter, more cunning Void-touched creatures stalk these halls, ambushing divers in flooded chambers or luring them into shifting mazes. To this day, no one has found a way beyond this layer. Some believe the Oubliette is the end of Sunhallow, its secrets buried forever, but most know better—there is much more waiting in the depths.
