The Craggy Highlands are the highest point on Bail's western continent, with Mount Rock standing as the tallest peak in the entire realm. Rocky, jagged cliffs characterize this region, although a few sparse fields and forests can be found throughout the landscape. The area is often dusty due to its dry climate, resulting in large clouds of light brown dust that can obscure the sky. The high elevation means that vegetation is limited, so the creatures and critters that inhabit the highlands tend to be smaller than those in the surrounding areas. Small mammals and reptiles are the primary inhabitants of the area. Aside from mountain goats, most creatures in the region are pretty small. One notable exception is the presence of giant birds of prey, which nest among the crags and rocks. These birds pose a significant threat to other inhabitants as they are the main predators in the region, including giant eagles, hawks, and vultures.
