The Ancient Dragons
The Ancient Dragons were once revered as living gods, but only two remain in The Shattered Peaks. Although these dragons are indeed living beings, they should be treated as deities in every respect, especially considering that both the Ancient Dragons and The Shattered Peaks may have existed long before The Pantheon of the Nine. Each Dragon possesses an enigmatic, charismatic, and powerful presence. In addition to Moreos and the two surviving dragons, the corpses of the deceased Ancient Dragons are displayed for their kin to observe. Dragons and Dragonborn regard these graves as the most sacred sites, and visitors—whether Dragon or not—tend to have a visceral emotional reaction when they come to these locations.
Raimeth (CG)
Raimeth was the strongest dragon to have ever lived, and he valiantly sacrificed his life in service to The Shattered Peaks. As the eldest of the Ancient Dragons, he was incredibly driven. His legendary battle against the nine gods is well-known, as he managed to hold off all of them for a hundred years without giving an inch. This feat is a source of pride for all dragon kind. Raimeth's descendants typically share his determination and place a high value on friendship and kinship.
His holy symbol is the face of a dragon. Raimeth was a massive dragon, distinguished by six wings and hexagonal silver scales that glinted gold in the sunlight.
Caliber (LE)
Caliber is one of the last two Ancient Dragons still alive and is second in strength only to Raimeth. Legendary tales speak of the duels that Raimeth and Caliber would have before the rise of the Dragonborn. Caliber embodies the spirit of martial prowess, and his descendants are known for being exceptional warriors. He is recognized for his deep, bellowing voice, which can be heard from miles away, and his crude sense of humor.
Caliber's holy symbol consists of four diamonds that form a larger diamond. He is a massive two-winged dragon with a thick tail; his circular scales are reddish-brown.
Moreos (LE)
Moreos was the magical specialist among the Ancient Dragons. Known for being reclusive and secretive, he set an example for his kin, who also tended to be a reserved group. The circumstances surrounding Moreos's disappearance remain a mystery, as he vanished without a trace one day. It is said that he formed a friendship with Strain after the death of Raimeth. As a powerful mage, Moreos has contributed to his clan’s legacy, as many Dragonborn from his lineage possess exceptional innate magical abilities.
Moreos’s holy symbol is a four-leaf clover. He was also the smallest of the Ancient Dragons, characterized by tear-drop-shaped scales that were midnight black.
Geo’Doore (LN)
Geo’Doore was the artist of the Ancient Dragons. She had the ability to see art in every aspect of life and enjoyed creating art herself. Her descendants now greatly appreciate art, and the artists within the Geo’Doore clan are celebrated as champions of culture and sophistication. Geo’Doore would often leave her city for years in search of inspiration from other realms, frequently infuriating her direct children, who served as her advisors. Despite this, Geo’Doore was known for being incredibly easy-going and carefree.
Her holy symbol is a star. Geo’Doore was massive, with round scales that constantly changed color like a chameleon’s skin, transforming her entire body into an ever-changing canvas.
Cazzai (LG)
Cazzai is the simplest of the Ancient Dragons, valuing a life of simplicity and hard work. She settled her city in a cold and desolate region, forcing the inhabitants to labor diligently to survive. This environment fostered a clan of Dragonborn who embraced hard work and lived austere yet fulfilling lives. Cazzai was particularly affected by the death of Raimeth, as she was the most emotional of all her kin.
Her holy symbol is a smith's hammer. Cazzai is the second smallest of all the Ancient Dragons, with square scales as white as snow.
Syvi (CG)
Syvi is one of the last two Ancient Dragons still alive, and she is immensely grateful for the gift of the Dragonborn from the Pantheon of the Nine. A grand architect by nature, Syvi takes great pleasure in building and now enjoys watching her clan as they construct a city around her. She often assisted her siblings when they struggled with design challenges, as there was no architectural problem her mind could not solve. The city of Syvi has produced some of the finest architects in Gevadun, and she is still around to witness their success.
Her holy symbol is a tower, and her scales are a striking electric blue that crackles with lightning.
