The Studio

"Wonderful! The fresh clay is here! Tell me, my disciples, who wishes to make the first incision, and who the first stitch?" - The Benevolent Corruptor to his students before surgery

The Studio serves as the opulent palace and workshop of The Benevolent Corruptor and his most trusted students. Those who wish to become his students and worship the Corruptor must pass a series of tests. These assignments are proctored in the dens of the Corruptor across Gevadun, the most notable being in The City of Flesh. Individuals personally selected by the Corruptor or members of his inner circle are offered a position in his Studio. Upon arrival, they are transformed by the Corruptor into forms he deems more suitable, after which their education begins. This training can take hundreds of years, often spanning multiple mortal lifetimes, before a student is entirely accepted into The Studio as a trusted page of the Corruptor. The Studio itself is a massive, cathedral-like structure featuring high vaulted ceilings, long naturally illuminated halls, and numerous chambers dedicated to the work of the Benevolent Corruptor. The main chamber is the largest, serving as the Corruptor's personal workshop, where he conducts his most twisted, mangled, and intricate operations.
