Gold Rock is a Dwarvish stronghold located on an isolated island in the vast oceans of Sindare. The Dwarves established their presence there long ago, and despite the attempts of the kingdoms of Sindare to dislodge them, they remain firmly entrenched. The only advantage for the Sindarian governments in having the Dwarves nearby is their significant distance from the mainland, meaning their operations don't bother the three kingdoms. Gold Rock is the primary point of political contact between the Dwarven Citadel of Stone Home and the three kingdoms of Sindare, making its presence both necessary and unwelcome.
