Introduction
When thinking about the peoples of Gevadun, it's easy to picture elves in their towering cities, dwarves in their mountain holds, orcs in their hovels, and the many stone and timber cities of humans. While these locations are certainly the centers of commerce, culture, and society, smaller groups of people spread across the realms do not live in cities or towns.
The term "nomad" refers to a member of a group that does not have a permanent residence and travels from one place to another in search of new pastures for their livestock. However, many groups are colloquially referred to as "nomadic," even if they are tribal. The key distinction is that tribal people have a permanent home or abode. Despite these differences in definition, there are significant similarities between nomads and tribes. While it's important to acknowledge their distinctions, it is common and logical to discuss them together.
