The Iced Reaches consist of cold alpine forests, jagged mountains, and massive glaciers. This region is Bail’s most inhospitable landscape. The stunning blue glaciers are among the most impressive features of Gevadun. However, the journey to see a glacier surrounded by alpine forests is perilous, so few undertake the trip. Unlike The Thundering Tundra, the winds that sweep across the Iced Reaches are damp, and heavy snowfall constantly blankets the ground. Even during the summer months, there is no relief from the cold, as temperatures never rise enough for the snow to melt. The flora in the Iced Reaches has adapted to survive these harsh conditions, just as the creatures that inhabit the region have. Elk and moose are the most pronounced animals in the area, and they have adapted to survive on minimal nutrition. Beyond the usual predators, such as wolves, bears, and snow leopards, Yetis are among the most feared beings found here. The extreme cold presents a serious threat, and anyone unprepared for it will face severe icy consequences.
