White Downs

Stretching across the tops of the Duchy of Mannic, the White Downs are a series of rolling chalk hills, their pale slopes gleaming in the sunlight. Small villages like Deepmotte nestle in their folds, built from the same pale stone, while the remains of older civilizations lie scattered across the landscape—crumbling walls, half-buried temples, and the weathered bones of forgotten battles.

Atop the highest hill stands the Tower of Dawn, an ancient beacon of unknown origin that predates even the kingdom itself. Some claim it was built as a watchtower against an enemy long since vanished, while others whisper that it serves as a marker for something buried deep beneath the Downs. Either way, it remains a landmark of the duchy, standing silent and eternal against the sky.
