The Sleepers Beneath

"The University Library is silent. Candles flicker low. Every sleeper breathes in unison. Their lips murmur names that were never spoken aloud, and the scent of honey and old parchment lingers where no windows are open."

The party visits the University of Talbot to retrieve a rare book — only to find the librarian and three scribes asleep at their desks. Townsfolk gather in fear, and Brother Yellin begs the party to help, claiming he’s heard voices whispering in the ink of the books.

Significant NPCs:

  • A dream-sigil ring that allows the wearer to enter another’s dream.

  • A page from the lost Chronicle of Eldbrook — a text believed destroyed.

Lore Tie-Ins:

The golden city appears in half a dozen myths across Endon — always linked to memory, forgetting, and vanished gods.
