One of the NPCs from the adventure "The Dragon's Hall", living in Llanybydder.
"She’s my daughter. My only daughter. And they want me to believe she simply left? No. She wouldn’t do that. Something happened—something out there in the forest. I know it."
Everlain is an aging half-elf silversmith known throughout the region for his delicate filigree work and quiet, proud demeanour. But when the players find him, he is anything but quiet. Standing on a cart in the town square, he is shouting himself hoarse over the inaction of the local authorities after his daughter Faerval Illuban vanished. Driven by grief and fear, Everlain has cast aside his usual reserve and is now a man on the edge - desperate for anyone who will help him find her.
Description
Tall but stooped, Everlain has long, silver-white hair tied back in a neat braid and the pointed ears of his elven heritage, though time has softened them with age. His hands, though wrinkled and calloused, remain precise, those of a craftsman. He wears a heavy leather apron over his robes even in public, as if removing it might admit how helpless he feels without tools in hand.
Traits and Motivations
Dignified yet deeply emotional, Everlain is guided by love and a lifetime of quiet integrity. The disappearance of Faerval Illuban has broken something in him: not his spirit, but his trust in the institutions he once respected. He is utterly convinced she didn’t leave of her own will, and suspects something dark lurks in Old Gvanlar's Hall. While his judgment is clouded by grief, his instincts are sharp, and his offer of reward is sincere. He may be an old man, but he would charge into the ruins himself if no one else will.
