A large part of the Ironclad District lies beneath the city, in a network of tunnels and caverns known as the Deep Roads. These underground passages are where the dwarves originally mined the rich veins of iron and other precious metals that made the district famous. Today, the Deep Roads are still used by the dwarves for mining, crafting, and secretive gatherings. Non-dwarves are rarely allowed into these subterranean areas, as they are considered sacred and are protected fiercely by the dwarven community.
