Anfyn, also referred to as 'the Goblin Holyland' or 'Elaines Valley', is a fortified valley at the coastal edge, on the south-east side of the Mountains of the Unknown. The only faction with a presence here are the fey, for Anfyn is the home base of Elaine's Crusade. From here the crusaders travel out into Kildar to practice their robin-hood-style banditry & coastal piracy. Bringing the ire of the Commerce and Military factions.
Unique features:
The valley of Anfyn itself is a 'Fey Crossings'. Where the valley in the material realm and the one in the feywild are so similar that the barrier between the two planes dissapears and they are one and the same. As a result the valley's nature and inhabitants are a mix of Kildar and Feywild
The most notable locations in the valley are the Holy Temple of Ascencion, the Grand Wall and Elaines harbor.
The Holy Temple of Ascencion supposeldy holds a direct gateway towards the lands of lady Elaine in the Feywild. A place where the souls of Elaines followers supposedly go when they die.
While the Grand Wall is a massive construction that has turned the valley into a formidable fortress, with the wall blocking the western passage into the valley, and mountain north and south of the valley, leaving the coastline of the valley as it's only strategic weakpoint. But it is a weakpoint only in name, for the valley's coastline is a massive natural harbor with shantytown built along it, dubbed 'Elaine's harbor'. It is the home achor of a fleet of pirate ships, that make the waters in Kildar's south a risky place for merchant vessels.
Demography:
Anfyn has a very large goblin population and is home to many fey-species. Over the years many Elaine-converted individuals other species have settled here as well. Many of which would historically have been catagorized as 'evil'.
Culture:
A culture best described as 'Communist-Pirate'. With the core principles of anti-oppression, anti-monarchy, and anti-capitalist. This has been shaped by multipe goblin-revolutions against the farmers-guild, fights against Orc-khanates, and a conversion to the anti-oppressor faith of lady elaine.
There is a strong fey-influence in the culture of Anfyn due to the valley being a fey crossing. And the valley is home to the crusaders of lady Elaine and the home base of the many pirate vessels that sail from here to everywhere along the kildarian coast.
