Description
It is said that the future saint Muriel found an abandoned pup on the streets. She brought it home where it found a better live with her and her husband Eustace. Noting the pup's resilience and protective nature, she quickle granted it the name Courage.
Tragedy struck however when Eustace was infected by a werechicken and quickly succumbed to its vile illness. It is said that just before he could turn on his former wife, Courage came in between to protect his mistress. Ultimatly a fight broke out between Courage and the werechicken that had once been Eustace. The faithful canine reigned supreme, but Eustace could not be saved from either his affliction or death.
After her husbands untimely demise, Muriel turned to faith, found solace in likeminded sisters and founded the Eustacians. In the following years, the Sisters Eustacians, flanked by their trusty canine companions, tried to rid Kildar of any and all were beast that would threathen the people of this continent. Their battle cry of "Courage" was often heard before the clashing of teeth and metal.
After her death, she was entombed next to her faithful dog, Courage, and she was quickly elevated to sainthood. The Sisters Eustacians were renamed to the Order of Saint Muriel and will nowadays accept anyone be they man, women or anything inbetween in their crusade against were beasts.
Traits and Motivations
Motivated by her love for her husband, Saint Muriel is often seen as a beacon of undying love. Many young woman pray at her shrines to find a love as strong as hers.
Routine
She is entombed in the cathedral that is the base of operations of the order of Saint Muriel. Her grave can be visited by anyone who wishes to pay their respects. It is said that to her most faithful she will answer and often grand them the boon of a celestial dog for them to summon and command.
