Choosing a Species, a request to you

When choosing your character's species, you can choose from all the species from the available sourcebooks. But, we would like you to have a look at the following two lists.

*For beginners we suggest taking one of the marked- & bold species from the PHB

Already Grounded

Ungrounded

  • Bugbears

  • Changeling

  • Firbolg

  • Githyanki

  • Githzerai

  • Genasi

  • Harengon

  • Hexblood

  • Hobgoblin

  • Lizardfolk

If the species that you want to play is in the 'already grounded' list, then no additional effort is needed from you and you can pick it without a second thought.

Playing An Ungrounded Species

But if you want to play a species that is on the 'ungrounded' list, then we would like to ask you to help us ground the species in our world of Kildar first, by writing about their lore and filling in their page on LegendKeeper. To do this, contact one of the Loremasters: Joachim, Harmen, Koen or Tin at the following email address: [email protected]. They’ll be able to grant you editor access to LegendKeeper and provide you with instructions to get started.
