Fort Triumph

Jorrit - Not sure if this info is accurate. Also not sure about what it looks like today.

Pavel - I think Ids was working on this place. He wanted adventures guild's headquarters to be here.

Overview

Fort Triumph was the central stronghold of Gruumak the Unifier during the War of Unyielding Shadows, serving as the focal point for the united Orcish tribes. Positioned in the northeast, it became both a military hub and a symbol of Orcish ambition. The fortress now stands as a reminder of the conflict that reshaped Kildar, marking the rise and fall of Orcish unity and the decisive intervention of the Dragonborn hero Destro Fortica.

In recent years the Adventurers Guild has made an effort rebuilt the Fort, turning it into a symbol of their relevance in Kildar, with a focus on their Founder Destro Fortica.

Now that the main keep has been restored a large statue of Destro Fortica has been erected in the central courtyard. Work on the outer walls and battlements is still ongoing with continual shipments of large stone blocks and mortar fuelling the rapid construction, along with a sizeable monetary contribution from the Mercenaries Guild.

History

Initially, Orc warbands acted as scattered raiders, but under Gruumak the Unifier they coalesced into a powerful force that overwhelmed the Dwarven Strongholds, leaving many clans extinct. The Mercenaries Guild, supported by other major guilds, eventually pushed the Orcs back to the northeast, where Gruumak consolidated his power at Fort Triumph.

The war turned at Fort Triumph when Destro Fortica breached its defenses and killed Gruumak, breaking Orcish unity and allowing the Guilds to defeat the remaining warbands. In the aftermath, Orc survivors were gradually integrated into Kildarian society through the Torrica Trials. This conflict ended the Guild Golden Age and began the period known as the Pax Fortica.
