Redwood Company
/

Description

A mercenary company fighting under the banner of the Mercenaries Guild. Known to be less scrupulous and take the contracts other mercenaries would rather not engage. Ruthless but efficient, members of the Redwood Company are known to often take great risks, if the reward is equally befitting.

Goals, Aspirations & Fears

The leadership of the Redwood Company demands utter and complete loyalty from their members and aspirants are carefull vetted to filter out anyone deemed to weak willed. As a result, members of the company are fiercely loyal to one another and the Redwood Company as a whole. This makes for strong bonds between members and a "no man left behind" attitude. Those who fail to uphold these bonds of loyalty and comradery are often shunned, ecxiled or (in cases of severe treachery) found dead at the blades of their former comrades in arms.

While members of the Mercenaries Guild and through that extend the Military Guilds, it is believed that for most members of the Redwood Company this is an alliance of convenience and their goals ultimatly serve their own purposes first, unless the goals of the guilds are more beneficial. Given their unscrupulous nature, willingness to undertake "dirty jobs" and their professional secrecy, the company is often tasked with contracts that cannot bear the light of day. Where other mercenary company's would politely decline, the Redwood Company is, in most cases, ready and willing to do the heavy and often dirty lifting the Military Guilds and Mercenaries Guild delegates to them.

  • "Fritz Ironfoundersson" Leader of a band of mercenaries who, under the banner of the Redwood Company, tried to kidnap Ironhold Chapter forge master Siegrid Ironfoundersdottir. While his allegiance has been confirmed, his true identity hasn't. He had adopted the moniker of Fritz Ironfoundersson in order to convince others that he was Siegrid's brother. The kidnapping attempt was ultimatly unscuccesful and relations between The Eldritch Inquisition and the Military Guilds as a whole soured as a result.
