Siege of Teristraz

Description

Upon landing at the shore of Kildar, Sova the Conqueror immediately tried to conquer the city of Teristraz. The city had been weakened by the Cataclysm. Earthquakes had been frequent and flooding severe. Weakened in both numbers and material, though not in spirit, the city resisted Sova's initial push and Sova dug in for a prolonged siege.

Wat als Teristraz vanaf het begin van de Cataclysm last had van aardbevingen etc., maar niet hele erge. De stad is verzwakt en het contact met andere steden verloren, maar de stad en haar muren staan nog sterk.

After some scouting and some limited skirmishes, Sova noticed that the cataclysmic events were winding down. Towards the end of the siege, she seized this opportunity by ordering all of her tribe's shamans to converge near a weak point in the wall. The shamans then started an elaborate ritual with loud drums and powerful chants. Vibrations could be felt in the air, and cracks start to show in that section of the wall. Soon after, it collapses.

To the Teristraz citizenry, it would have looked as though Sova's shamans could control and direct the waning cataclysm wherever they went.
They soon surrendered, unconditionally.

Significance

Sova's victory marks the start of the Medvedov Conquest.

Aftermath
