The Moonhowler Tribe is a tribe of Goblinoids that live in Kildar. Most goblinoids, if not all, either directly or indirectly belong or descend from the Moonhowler tribes. They have long been a nuisance, even long before the Hadar Crisis. Though recently, perhaps by the expanding influence of the faith in Lady Elaine, some of these goblinoids have become less savage, choosing to swindle and steal rather than raid for their belongings. The tribe is nomadic in nature and lives in living carts dragged by packs of wolves and worgs. These caravans move from town to town where they set up outside of towns and cities, selling their wares, performing and swindling the locals.
Structure
The tribe is led by a king. Within the tribe there are numerous Clans. These clans consist of the patriarch or matriarch of the clan, their direct family and extended family. The largest of these clans is the one that belongs to the tribal king.
Culture
The goblins of the tribe don't steal: they borrow without asking. For these goblins, their family is the most important aspect of their life. The members of the tribe are centered around multiple families that act as one large family. Extended family are treated as if they are close family. To have a problem with one member of the tribe, is to have a problem with the entire tribe. Gatherings of families are called clans. These clans have their own leaders, usually the patriarch or matriarch of the strongest family of the clan. Leaving the clan or tribe is not an option. You are ostracised from any clan and will never be allowed back.
Public Agenda
The members of the tribe seek an easy life. They want to improve their wealth, and therefore their ease of living. They are not above taking what they want from others. They will use violence to achieve this goal. The king himself wishes to expand his domain to other regions.
Assets
Every family of the Tribe possesses their own pack of wolves. These wolves are led by the worgs of their family. When the Tribal King makes a call for war, each family is expected to contribute wolf riders to the call. The clans live in scrap mobile homes, dragged by the aforementioned wolves.
History
In old times, the tribe lived amongst the cities and villages of ancient Ferrumheim. Yet, the culture of the tribe could not coexist with the other cultures of the civilized lands of Ferrumheim. It was not long before the local government of Ironhold banished the tribe from their cities. They were ostracised, treated as lesser citizens. The tribe grew angry and resentful of society. Reduced to nomads, the tribe's culture was forged to become that of raiders and thieves.
Military
The tribe typically goes to war in skirmish combat, where the goblinoids ride wolves into war. They typically enjoy wolf-archery, where they shoot shortbows or throw javelins from the backs of their mounts and avoiding melee combat.
Religion
The Goblinoids of the tribe typically worship Maglubiyet, Goblinoid conquerer god. In recent years, more and more of these goblinoids have embraced Lady Elaine.
The Moot
The only important location for the tribe is the moot, hidden somewhere within Ferrumheim. Its location is kept a secret from all outsiders.
Currency
Because stealing is so common within the tribe, members melt down their "borrowed" coins and goods into wearable jewelry. They then treat this as currency in their barter trade.
