Gruumsh is worshiped as the Allfather: the original Orc.

Bahgtru, Ilneval, Shargaas, Yurtrus, Luthic and the other Orc gods of the Orc pantheon are only still worshiped by Old Orc fundamentalists: The “Awakened”.

They call themselves awakened for two reasons:

• In an attempt to recapture some of the status that the name held in old times, which they believe was the true Orc way.

• And because they believe they are “awake” to this truth of the Orc, while their brethren are asleep.

In the rest of Kildar new temples enshrine Gruumsh as part of the all encompassing Pantheon. In their tales Gruumsh traversed the continent as the original wanderer. He blessed many sites which hold significance to Orcs to this day. Sites of hunt, valleys of beauty and even mountains which Gruumsh himself have said to have split.    

Mythology

Orcs trace their creation to Gruumsh, a powerful god who roamed the wide open spaces of the Material Plane. Gruumsh equipped his children with gifts to help them wander great plains, vast caverns, and churning seas and to face the monsters that lurk there. Even when they turn their devotion to other gods, orcs retain Gruumsh’s gifts: endurance, determination, and the ability to see in darkness.
