Lyra and Morwen

The Twins are two Mothers of the Coven of the Grandmother, often seen together. Lyra is a Tiefling with brightly colored red/pinkish skin who wears bright, clothes in vibrant colors, with wild hair adorned with flowers. She has a perpetual grin and sparkling eyes. On the other hand, Morwen is an Aasimar with ashen skin and raven wings. She is wears black armor draped in dark robes, with flowing black hair. Her eyes are sunken and haunting, filled with a perpetual melancholy.

They are the benevolent owners of an orphanage in Stormhaven.

A group of Unbound revealed their true nature as Liches after killing them in a battle and the twins resurrecting afterwards.

Backstory:

Over 100 years ago, before the Crimson Dusk, Lyra and Morwens' Parents were adventurers. Long before they met, thinking they'd never find love, they both individually promised their firstborn to their patrons. William promised his Firstborn to a Celestial (unknown who), Sarah to a Devil (unknown who). Was it just random chance? Fate? Or an intervention by the gods that these Warlocks met? Whatever it was, the met on numerous wild adventures and fell in love. And from that love came not one, but two firstborns. Twins. A little pink girl with horns, and little girl with raven black wings.

The Twins grew up in Torrica, their parents having retired from adventuring. But after the destruction of Torrica their parents, heeding the call for a battle against the ultimate evil, sent them to Stormhaven with the other refugees, promising to meet up with them after the battle against Hadar.  Upon arrival at Stormhaven the twins waited, and waited. News of the battle and Bimarats victory spread, and the names of fallen heroes came out. To the twins' dismay, their parents' names were among them. The city guard brought them to the orphanage. The head mistress was a cruel woman who beat the children regularly and often without cause. To escape their fate, the Twins fled the orphanage as a fire broke out. They made living on the streets. Lyra would trick and distract unsuspecting victims or attempt to scam them out of their money. Meanwhile, Morwen would pickpocket and steal. After years of evading the local law, they were sold out by the Thieves’ Guild who saw them as unaligned competitors. It was at their lowest point, imprisoned, that the twins met the Grand Mother.

The Grand Mother bailed them out and raised them. Thought them how to stand on their own, and how to harness the power of magic. But to achieve immortality, they required more power, more magic, even more than the twins inherently had. So the Grand Mother offered to set introduce the Twins to powerful individuals who could provide this magic. Lyra was introduced to Baba Yaga, "Mother of All Witches, Queen of the Hags" the Archfey who lives in the swamps of the Feywild, she took Lyra on as her patron at Grand Mothers request. Who Morwen was introduced to we do not yet know...

Morwen

Morwen, an Aasimar with ashen skin and raven wings, complements her twin Lyra with a contrasting demeanor. Growing up alongside Lyra, Morwen developed a talent for theft and shadow manipulation. Her powers stem from a pact with Umbraxis, the Dreadlady of the Shadowfell, granting her command over the shadowfells necrotic magic. Morwen's aloof and withdrawn nature belies her chaotic evil alignment and her ability to sense and exploit hidden fears. Like Lyra, she achieved lichdom under the guidance of the Grand Mother, their dark transformation binding their fates together. At the orphanage they run, Morwen plays a crucial role in shaping the children's futures, either as loyal servants or sacrifices for dark rituals. Her knowledge of the Shadowfell adds depth to her already mysterious persona.

Lyra

Lyra is a vibrant and charismatic Tiefling with a unique appearance and magical abilities. Her bright red/pinkish skin and mismatched, colorful attire make her stand out, while her wild hair adorned with flowers adds to her whimsical nature. Born to human parents who were both warlocks with different patrons, Lyra and her twin were divided between their parental celestial and fiend patrons.

As a wielder of fey magic, Lyra specializes in illusions, enchantments, and nature-based spells. Her expertise in persuasion and charm, combined with her bouncy, sing-song manner of speaking, makes her a captivating presence. Despite her chaotic evil alignment, Lyra openly supports the OPS, cleverly masking her true nature. She shares a deep bond with her twin, Morwen, and together they run an orphanage with Jetix.

Death of Lyra

Early in the year 605 Lyra is killed by unbound adventurers. They found her phylactery and managed to destroy it. Allowing them to kill her. Upon finding her sisters body, a grieving Morwen vows vengeance upon all unbound.
