Overview

Tiefbrand is a remote, rough-edged mining town with only around 90 residents, nestled at the foot of the mysterious Mountains of the Unknown. This small, close-knit community is known for mining rare luminous iron, which glows faintly and is prized by artisans and wizards. Governor Grohe Etal, a grizzled and pragmatic human, keeps a watchful eye on the town's operations and is respected for his steady leadership.

Life in Tiefbrand is simple but dangerous; the town's mines yield valuable ores but are fraught with risks, from unexpected cave-ins to strange sightings of shadowy figures in the deepest tunnels. The town's few buildings are sturdy, stone structures, built to withstand the harsh mountain climate and occasional tremors. Rumors of lost treasures and ancient, sealed chambers draw the occasional adventurer, but most who live in Tiefbrand are hardy miners, smiths, and traders—people who know and respect the mountain’s secrets.
