Druid Circles of Kildar
/

The Druid Circles of Kildar are spread throughout the land, gathered in Druid Coves. They dedicate themselves to protecting nature and natural magic.

Goals, Aspirations & Fears

All the Druid Circles desire to protect nature and fear it's loss at the hands of 'unnatural' causes. But what one considers 'unnatural' depends on ones personal views. The commerce factions that exploit the lands through agriculture, lumber, mining and generally viewed by all as 'unnatural'. But viewpoints differ on the influx of shadowfell and feywild peoples and species coming through the planar rifts. There are generally two viewpoints:

  • Proactive (Renewers): See the rifts as a natural evolution—a chance for Kildar’s wilds to adapt, diversify, and flourish. They believe embracing new species and magics could strengthen the land’s resilience. “Nature thrives on change. If we guide this transformation, Kildar’s wilds may emerge stronger, richer, and more wondrous than ever.”

  • Protective (Conservationists): Value the preservation of Kildar’s existing ecosystems. They see the peoples and species of the Shadowfell and Feywild as invasive, and feel that unchecked change is a threat to delicate balances and ancient groves which they have fought so hard for to preserve against the Commerce Factions. “Our duty is to protect what endures. We must shield our lands from chaos, ensuring the old forests and creatures survive for generations.”

Structure & people

Each druid circle has a leader, how these are chosen differs from circle to circle. In some it might be inherited through family, others might vote democratically. Others might have a trial or contest, and the winner becomes the leader.

The circle leaders gather from time to time to discuss the state of the world and different philosophies, but the different druid circles generally each go their own path.
