Religion
Most, if not all of the Elves on Kildar worship Corellon Larethian, their creator and God. As the personification of all things Elven, Corellon was at once a warrior and a poet, a mage and a bard, and a male and a female. There are many ancient stories of a rivalry between Corellon and Gruumsh, the Orc God. In one of these tales, the Elf creator cut out one of the eyes of Gruumsh after he challenged Corellon in a duel. To this day, the worshipers of Corellon hold a disdain for followers of Gruumsh, and particularly his children: the Orcs. More radical followers of Corellon tend to bully and drive away Orcs from their cities, for grudges of ancient battles that only the Elves remember.
Though Lolth worship is outlawed in Kildar, there remains a small and secretive group of elves who still follow the Spider Queen. These followers are often Drow who believe that Lolth’s power is misunderstood or who have deep ancestral ties to her. They practice their faith in hidden enclaves, performing dark rituals to summon Lolth’s favor. Hunted by the authorities and devout followers of Corellon, these Lolth-worshipers live in constant fear, relying on their cunning, magic, and the shadows to survive and continue their devotion.
Otherworldly
Elves get shivers from tiefling, scary shivers. But elves get impressed by shivers from Aasimar. Elves believe in creating an environment where they can achieve their highest potential. Also they value their traditions, their nature of magic and don’t like to change their ways. The idea of a literal spawn of a demon twists their guts. It might be that the drow elves accept the Tieflings more because they have been misjudged in the past as well. Aasimar are well accepted, even though they look a bit different, they don’t feel different
Mythology
Created by the god Corellon, the first elves could change their forms at will. They lost this ability when Corellon cursed them for plotting with the deity Lolth, who tried and failed to usurp Corellon’s dominion. When Lolth was cast into the Abyss, most elves renounced her and earned Corellon’s forgiveness, but that which Corellon had taken from them was lost forever.
No longer able to shape-shift at will, the elves retreated to the Feywild, where their sorrow was deepened by that plane’s influence. Over time, curiosity led many of them to explore other planes of existence, including worlds in the Material Plane.
Philosophy
The Owlbear debate
The debate over how to manage the owlbear population has become a point of contention between the wood elves and the High Elves. The Wood elves, deeply connected to the natural rhythms of the land, argue for a hands-off approach, trusting that nature will find its own balance without interference. They view the owlbears as an integral part of the ecosystem, vital for maintaining a healthy balance of predator and prey. On the other hand, the more pragmatic High elves advocate for controlled hunts, seeing the growing owlbear numbers as a threat to local wildlife and settlements. This philosophical divide has created a subtle yet growing rift between the two communities, with each side viewing the other's approach as either naive or overly aggressive.
