Alliance with Kania (Year 707)

The united forces of Hadagan and the orcish tribes, led by Rodogor, seized the allod of Grokh, which belonged to one of the elven families. The Great Mage Claude di Vevre – a would-be mentor of Rodogor in the magical arts – was slain. The House of di Vevre, one of the Eight, called an emergency Bal. It was at this Bal that the decision was made to form an alliance with Kania.

Battle for Ketch (Year 725)

The Elves and Kanians together attempted to resist the Empire in the battle for the allod of Ketch.

Formation of the League and the rise of Grandeur (Year 765)

The first ship of the Ghibberlings landed on the shores of the allod belonging to House di Grandeur. As a result of one of the most elegant political maneuvers, which lasted for over 30 years, House di Grandeur rose to a leading position at the Grand Bal, and the Ghibberlings joined the alliance of the Elves and Kanians. Thus, the League was formed – now with the secret of astral travel in its arsenal.

New Elven ship technology (Year 823)

House di Ardeur took the lead at the Bal. The first astral ship, constructed by the mages of this House and capable of withstanding the dangers of the astral, secured victory in the Great Game. That very ship would go on to become the prototype for the League's first astral fleet.

The discovery of astral travel (made possible through the Ghibberlings) prompted the elves to begin searching for meteorite deposits across allods. The reasons for this lay both in the social domain and in their philosophy of “Service to Beauty.”

Firstly, many elves were powerful Great Mages capable of holding allods together. Holding an allod was considered a great honor and offered vast opportunities for a Family. The competition for the title of an elven allod holder became one of the most intense aspects of the Game between Houses. However, the number of available allods was limited, meaning there was not enough to go around – even for those qualified.

Secondly, the astral had always captivated the elves with its incomprehensibility, strangeness, and mesmerizing beauty. The nature of the astral limited how it could be studied, but even the small discoveries the elves had made led them to believe they were dealing with some form of “primordial matter” – and if they could learn to control it, they might also learn to create life itself. Such a feat would be the true pinnacle of “Service to Beauty.” And astral travel offered the means to study it, and ultimately, to uncover its deepest secrets.

The rise of di Duser and assault on the Kyrah (Year 901-910)

Power shifted to House di Duser. It was they who became the initiators of the assault on the allod Kyrah. This act served both as retribution against the Empire and as a campaign to seize the richest deposits of meteorite iron. The formal pretext for the attack was declared to be the dire situation of the goblins living on the allod. The League would present itself as the savior of this oppressed tribe – while simultaneously claiming the meteorite deposits. Preparations for the invasion were carried out under the strictest secrecy.

In 909, the League's fleet landed an expeditionary force on the allod of Kirah, and four months into the war – by the year 910 – an event occurred that changed the world forever.
