The decisive battle for Kyrah between the armies of the Empire and the League, led by Yasker and Eniel, was set to take place on March 4, 910. However, on the eve of battle, portals erupted across the allods near the towers of the Great Mages. From them poured vast armadas of unknown creatures — beings so nightmarish that even the most fearless warriors recoiled in terror.

Neither the League nor the Empire was prepared for this sudden invasion. With nearly all their forces stationed on Kyrah, the cities were left vulnerable, defended only by their guards and the Great Mages. The element of surprise, the weakness of the defenders, and the ensuing panic worked in the invaders’ favor. Many Great Mages perished, their deaths shattering the wards that held their allods together. Just as had happened 900 years ago, the Astral began to consume the exposed lands.
Even the surviving allods suffered — drained by the desperate efforts of their Great Mages to repel the invaders, vast borderlands crumbled into the Astral. But nowhere was the devastation greater than on Kyrah. The demons swarmed the battlefield with an unnatural precision, as if they had anticipated the clash of two great armies. Their first strike fell upon the tower of the Hadagan Great Mage Vlad, who had abstained from the upcoming battle. Vlad was slain, and as he fell, the Imperial and League armies, still unaware of the demonic incursion, clashed in open war.
The battle had barely begun when the sky darkened with swirling Astral tendrils, and the earth trembled. Both Yasker and Eniel realized too late what was happening — Vlad’s death had destabilized the allod. They scrambled to perform the complex ritual needed to hold the land together, but at that moment, the demons descended upon the battlefield.

The armies of the League and the Empire broke. Panic spread like wildfire. Yasker managed to open a portal to Igsh, but he could not hold it for long - only a fraction of the Imperial army escaped, while the rest perished, buying time for their retreat. The League fared slightly better, having their astral fleet on standby. Yet, as they took to the skies, demons swarmed their ships, tearing them apart mid-flight. Of the entire fleet, only a single vessel reached the League’s capital of Kvatokh.
Eniel and his finest warriors, stranded on Kyrah, took refuge in a cave. From there, he continued the ritual to preserve what remained of the allod. Meanwhile, across the world, Great Mages fell, and allods crumbled into the Astral. The demons had achieved their goal — obliterating the guardians of the allods and accelerating the inexorable Astral collapse. In the chaos, refugees flocked toward the remaining Great Mages, seeking protection, unaware that salvation was no longer possible. Then, as suddenly as they had appeared, the demons vanished, leaving the shattered world in ruin.
The devastation was nearly absolute. More than half of all allods were lost — Hypat, Kyrah, and Yazes were mostly consumed. Millions perished. Panic gripped the surviving allods.
In response, the League Defenders and the Imperial Guard were formed — elite forces dedicated to repelling future demonic threats. A neutral order of Demon Hunters also emerged, forging their own path through alchemical experiments that altered their very nature. They studied the demons tirelessly, searching for ways to counter them.
Though the invasions continued, they never reached the same catastrophic scale. The inhabitants of the allods had prepared, and future attacks were thwarted. Yet, demons continued to lurk in the Astral, prowling the edges of reality. Fear gripped the realms for five long years until, unexpectedly, the attacks ceased. The Astral grew calm. For the next fifteen years, the League and the Empire lived in uneasy anticipation, always waiting for the next disaster.
The losses reshaped the world. Kvatokh lay in ruins, its Great Mage, Tenses, slain in its defense. Skrakan became the new holder of Kvatokh, while Smeyana took control of Umoir, another devastated allod. The dragon Silaya, guardian of the orcish allod Izun, fled, leaving the land to be swallowed by the Astral.
Tenses’ Spark of Life was lost — somehow captured by one of Tep’s Pyramids. What transpired there remains unknown, but when the Great Mage’s spirit emerged, he had been granted a new power — the power of Light.
In the wake of the catastrophe, Kania began its transformation into a unified, monolithic state, driven by the need to confront both the demon menace and the ever-present threat of the Empire. The League Council was formed, bringing together representatives of all three nations under the leadership of Skrakan.
Then, in the year 911, a miracle occurred — an event that forever changed the course of history. For the first time in recorded history, sentient beings were granted the possibility of resurrection, defying even the permanence of death itself.
