Kania and Hadagan (2910-4015 BGC)

Before the Cataclysm, a part of Kania broke away – the one that would later become the Hadaganian Empire. A long-standing enmity exists between these two human states, one that persists even after the Cataclysm. The roots of this feud lie in the fundamental disagreements between Tenses and Nezeb – another Great Mage, Tenses’ rival, and the Beloved Chief of the Hadaganian Empire.

Tenses believed that Nezeb sought absolute power over the world, elevating himself to the status of a living god – something that, in Tenses’ eyes, violated the oath of the Great Mages. To Tenses, Nezeb was a heretic, a traitor, a madman who had to be stopped at any cost.

The first war broke out even before the Cataclysm, and it ended with neither side claiming victory. The entire period before and after the Cataclysm has been a history of ongoing conflict between Kania and Hadagan – sometimes quiet, sometimes flaring up again with renewed fury. Over the centuries, both sides have accumulated such hatred toward one another that it now seems the war can only end with the complete and final triumph of one over the other.
