The Very Respectable Goblin and the Very Respectable Gobliness are, by every measurable standard, the wealthiest individuals in Sarnout. And yet, very little is known about them or their origins.

They founded modern banking and control the Great Goblin Bank, which holds and moves most large-scale capital in Sarnout. They are said to possess the largest private collection of magical artifacts in existence. They also own an allod commonly called Goblinland, a closed, goblin-only society that effectively functions as a goblin utopia.

It is confirmed that the Very Respectable Goblin maintains an office in the Eye of the World, while the Very Respectable Gobliness keeps hers in the Tower of Aidenus. Both have reportedly held private audiences with Yasker and Aidenus.

Many theories and rumors circulate among superstitious commoners about the Very Respectable Goblins. They are blamed for every major conflict and crisis. Some conspiracy nuts even claim that they are “holding all the money in Sarnout” or pursuing a long-term strategy of global goblin domination. According to the wilder versions of these stories, they are so powerful that they did not merely colonise Goblinland, but created the firmament itself from nothing.
