Svetolesiye (Lightwood)

The main Kanian allod, Kvatokh, welcomes travelers with floodplain meadows and birch groves – this is the land proudly called Svetolesiye (Lightwood) by the Kanians. It is here that the new capital of Kania and the entire League, Novograd, stands.

Most of Novograd’s inhabitants and the surrounding areas are simple peasants, whose daily labor is in one way or another tied to providing the city with necessary goods. Many of them, having traded in their farmer’s scythe for a builder’s hammer or a miner’s pickaxe, now work at the lumber mill near the Smolianoy Bor (Tarwood) in eastern Svetolesiye, or at the “Great Boulders” mine near the eastern edge of South Berestyanka. And in the north of Svetolesiye, on the shores of White Lake, lies a vast apiary where the finest mead in all of Kania is brewed.

After the first demon invasion, the old capital of the League was destroyed. It is now being rebuilt anew on the shores of an astral bay. This location was not chosen by chance – Kania’s future is inextricably linked to its astral fleet, and to the northwest of the new capital, Novograd, lies the shipyard where new vessels are being constructed.
